Also known as Socially Responsible Investment. Socially Responsible Investment creates an awareness of activities which, in seeking to produce profits, may harm the world or its inhabitants, and actively avoids negative activities such as:-

• Environmental damage and pollution
• Manufacture and sale of weapons
• Pornography
• Unneccessary exploitation of animals
• Companies whos activities support oppressive regimes

and supports positive activities such as:-

• Environmental improvements and pollution control
• Conservation of energy or natural resources
• Companies that provide products that are of long term benefit to the community
• Good employment pratices
• Responsible business practices.
