We are delighted to be the proud owners of a new property in
Great Malvern. This is an exciting time for Balens. The offices are
currently being prepared for us and we hope to be moving during the
week of July 21st.
This move will have an impact upon our availability during the
process, but we hope to keep the disruption to a
minimum. If your policy falls due for renewal between
4th August and 10th August please read the below, to
ensure no disruption to your cover.
Our plans are currently as follows, however these may be
subject to change at short notice.Full details will be
kept updated here.
July 2014
Thursday 24th
Office open, but with reduced staffing, thus telephone service
will be more limited. Automated telephone and online renewals will
be available as normal.
Friday 25th
Office closed. Automated telephone and online renewals will be
available as normal.
Saturday 26th
Online and automated telephone renewals site temporarily
unavailable whilst servers are moved.
Sunday 27th
Online and Telephone renewals site back online.
Monday 28th
Offices open as normal.
Office open, but with reduced staffing, thus telephone service
will be more limited. Automated telephone and online renewals will
be available as normal (Subject to change).

BALENS ON THE MOVE AGAIN!!
David Balen moved Balens from London to Malvern in 1994 and to
purpose built offices at Nimrod House in 2004. Now, in 2014, Balens
is on the move again.
In our last Bugle, we reported that with the growth of the
company, staff numbers had risen to 39 and we had just expanded
into part of the building next door. Today our staff numbers have
just topped 50, with 16 new employees in the last 18 months
and we will shortly be moving into new premises in Malvern,
beginning an exciting new chapter in the Balens' story.
Balens is a values and ethics driven business offering a range
of excellent products and supported by outstanding service at
attractive premiums. The growth of Balens over the years has not
been achieved by hard sales techniques but has happened organically
largely by recommendation and by developing and improving products
to suit the requirements and changing needs of our clients.
As well as offering specialist products for our affinity groups,
we also have a dedicated commercial insurance team offering a wide
range of insurance solutions for most business needs. We also
operate a policy of giving back wherever possible, to the health
and well being movement and our clients via such things as our CPD
events.
This success is recognised by many. Balens has been one of
Zurich's elite 100 Brokers for the last 3 years and in September
2013 was noted as being one of the top 400 brokers in the whole of
the UK in a Plimsoll Analysis.
David Balen, Managing Director, said: "Client support and
service are the cornerstones of who we are and what we do and it is
this ethos that has driven the company forward and allowed us to
continually grow. Moving premises again, to accommodate for this
growth, is a determined sign of our commitment to ensuring this
ethos stays true to our hearts, so that we can continue to evolve
and improve our products and services."
All of our leadership, management team and staff are very
excited about the move. Not only will we have double the size, but
the premises are very conveniently situated in the centre of
beautiful Malvern Town Centre, close to amenities, the station,
shops and restaurants.
We have renamed the new building, "Bridge House". The "Bridge"
name was given to the early Balens Insurance schemes and in our
logo the symbol has many meanings but can be thought of simply as a
way of linking and connecting, and enabling relationship and
communication. With this in mind the name seems most appropriate
for our new chapter.
