Balens have always believed in giving to charity and particularly to those in the Health and Well-Being Sector as a way of ‘giving back’. We have for many years had a proportion of our company profits that are set aside for good causes, together with a policy of any refunds due to clients that are less that £3.00 or €4.00 being added to this charity fund rather than returned to clients, unless they specifically request otherwise. 

As a company Balens supports our staff initiated fund raising events such as Macmillan Coffee Mornings, Movember and Comic relief, both with the running of these events, and also matching any amounts raised by our Team Members, thereby doubling donations to these worthy causes.

We also give donations from the business directly to local charities with the aim to support initiatives that positively impact upon or are connected with the Health & Well-Being Sector. Our Balens Giving Team meets four times a year and we accept applications for donation around the following criteria:

  • Registered Charities.
  • Have a connection to the Health & Well-Being Sector – including education, research and advancement of the sector generally and offering of therapies for specific causes.
  • Based within the West Midlands and Three Counties region of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
  • Applying for donation towards a specific project (as opposed to a general request for money).

Should you wish to apply, we ask that a written proposal be sent in to us detailing what the donation will specifically be used for.
